Appx. 350 families of Palmetto and Bradenton will be receiving Thanksgiving meal boxes this year through a project started by Ray Bellamy and co-sponsored by Sheriff Rick Wells. The MCBA Young Lawyers Division donated $500 to the program from a grant received by The Florida Bar; and several MCBA members donated their time to volunteer this morning. We were up early and bagging turkeys at 5:30 am, with several support staff from the MCSO and other great folks from the area helping out- it took an army! Our Executive Director was joined by Kathy Osterberg, the Volunteers Chair of Sisterhood For Good… Graceann and Kathy were on Cranberry Distribution and did a great job!
