FAMILY MAGISTRATE

The 12^th Judicial Circuit is hiring a Family Magistrate based in Venice, the position will be available January 4, 2027. The essential function of this position is to conduct family division hearings and make recommended orders on matters referred for hearing. The Family Magistrate also presides over weekly Baker Act and Marchman Act hearings in both South County and Sarasota, travel to facilities and other courthouse locations is required. This position supervises an administrative assistant. Good standing in the Florida Bar, a JD from an accredited law school and at least five years’ experience in the practice of law to include two years in family law are required.
