Experienced Attorney

The Manatee County Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced attorney to join its team. Candidates with at least three years of relevant legal experience in any combination of the following practice areas will be considered:  administrative hearings, appellate practice, city/county/local government, contracts, eminent domain, ethics/public records/sunshine law, labor and employment, land use, litigation, procurement, public finance and bonds, public utilities, transactional matters, and real estate.  The ideal candidate will have a combination of experience in tort litigation and transactional legal work.  Excellent writing skills and experience representing governmental entities, defending personal injury and property damage claims, managing complex litigation, and drafting contracts are particularly valuable.  Manatee County offers a comprehensive benefits package.  A cover letter and resume may be submitted to patricia.nolan@mymanatee.org.  Writing samples and references may be requested.  Manatee County is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
